FAIR - Fostering Apprenticeship sharing ideas and resources
FAIR wants to change mind-sets of SMEs towards apprenticeships, through the activation of contributions from a broad partnership bringing together companies and key stakeholders from the employment and education sectors.
Social partners, business associations, public authorities will cooperate sharing ideas and resources in order to increase the number of companies providing placements, particularly involving those with no previous experience of apprenticeships and focusing on the first and third levels (dual approach).
They will be coordinated by the Chambers of Commerce with the final intention that these intermediary bodies will become permanent territorial landmarks with support structures for fostering the work-based learning culture in enterprises.
New structures/capacities should be related to the following specific aims:
- To create territorial synergies and sharing intents aimed at empowering the public action and policies towards a wider diffusion of apprenticeship
- To ensure the strong correlation between training programmes and professional/skills needs – activating a permanent dialogue among companies and VET providers, schools, higher institutes, universities, etc.
- To offer concrete support to SMEs for good-quality apprenticeships
Chambers of Commerce became territorial landmarks to foster apprenticeship through supporting SMEs and networking stakeholders.
The imaginary about apprenticeship will be transformed through an awareness campaign enlighten its economic and social VALUE.
The Action will bring the concept that «Apprenticeship is FAIR».
A «FAIR Brand» created by the Action will link apprenticeship to social responsibility concept which will empower the reputation of SMEs adopting it.
